The Carteret County Board of Elections is now preparing for round two in the state agriculture commissioners race as ordered by the State Board of Elections Tuesday.

County board of election chairman Ed Pond says the new election is scheduled to take place January 11.

Pond says the county has been ordered by the state to allow all voters whose vote was lost on Election Day, as well as any registered voter in the county who failed to vote the first time around, to take part in January's vote.
