Eastern Carolina After Dark: Kinston

Wednesday's eastern Carolina After Dark report headed to Kinston. That's where Audrey Washington road along with Sergeant John Stroud with the Kinston police department.

The night began rather quiet. But it didn't stay that way.

Sgt. Stroud got a call of a high speed chase happening in the area. Police say the suspect caused a disturbance at his job and then evaded police as they tried to pull him over. Finally, police say the suspect stopped at his home. Police transported the suspect to the police department, where he will face further charges.

Following that call, Sgt. Stroud headed over to an apartment on a domestic violence call. A woman reported to police that her boyfriend broke into their apartment and assaulted her. She decides to press charges and her boyfriend is taken to jail.

Eastern Carolina After Dark continues Thursday on WITN News at Six with a stop in Washington.
