A Craven County man was jailed in the early morning hours Saturday after police say he held-up a convenience store clerk at knife-point in New Bern.
The robbery happened just after 2:30 Saturday morning when lawmen say Dorne Lamonte Maye entered the Kangaroo Quick Mart on 1211 7th Street and demanded money from the worker. Lawmen say they caught up with Maye only two blocks away from the store. Police say an undisclosed amount of cash was found on Maye from the hold-up.
