In spite of their grief, Thursday the parents of a Pitt County student, who committed suicide this week, are speaking out.
Jim and Patty Tyson hope by sharing the story of their son's death, it will help prevent a similar situation from happening again to another family. Michael Keith Tyson shot himself in the head with his hunting rifle Monday morning. His mother discovered his body at their Winterville home.
Tyson's parents say their son was suffering from depression. He had been visiting a psychiatrist and taking anti-depressants.
