What to do with the land that stretches between Greenville and Washington along U.S. 264 will be up for discussion at a public hearing Thursday night.
The Pitt County Planning Board is holding the hearing on the proposed land-use plan for the U.S. 264 corridor between Greenville and washington. The hearing is Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Pitt County Office Park's Agricultural Center.
Pitt County Planning Director James Rhodes says, public forums earlier this year each drew about 100 people, so they're expecting at least that many Thursday night. People wishing to speak can sign in to do so. No action on the plan will be taken Thursday night.
