Craven County authorities had a bizarre shooting on their hands. According to rescue personnel, a 13-year-old boy was shot at a residence at 474 Old Landfill Road outside of Vanceboro Saturday at around 1:45 in the afternoon. Authorities say he was shot with some type of rifle, and that another boy was the shooter. Since both people involved are juveniles, no other information was available. The victim's condition is also unknown.
