Man Rescued From Truck

Authorities had a mid-air rescue on their hands in Greenville late Friday morning.

Eyewitnesses say a truck was traveling down Library Street in Greenville around 11 a.m. when it went through a stop sign at the First Street intersection, and almost went straight into the Tar River.

The driver was still inside the truck when rescue crews arrived. The fire department had to extend their ladder over the wreck and then lower firemen using ropes to get to the victim. The man's condition is unknown.
