Cyclists Invade Washington

Cyclists are hitting the road to promote physical fitness and good health. It's called Cycle North Carolina. And for the sixth year in a row, nearly 1,000 cyclists from around the country are making their way across our state in seven days.

The trek began in Sparta on Saturday, October 2, and will end Friday in Oriental. Friday, the riders made their way to the 7th Street Recreation Center in Washington, where they will camp out and make their way to Oriental sometime Saturday afternoon.
