While it may have been the 18th Annual North Carolina Seafood Festival in Morehead City, it was the first ever River Festival in Greenville Saturday.
There were numerous tents featuring the United States Department of Agriculture, groups for Greenville greenways, and a number of other enviromental organizations to teach kids. Officials say with this festival, the mission really is education.
Organizers are already planning for the second river festival, and say they may change the event next year to fall sometime in the spring.
