Your Vote Really Does County

Just a few hundred votes from the state of Florida helped determine the last Presidential election. Thursday, people were rushing to voter registration sites across the nation, as the November election draws near.

In Greenville Friday, the Pitt County Board of Elections drew in soon-to-be voters to a registration drive. This year the number of registered voters is up from last year, according to elections' officials in Pitt County. However, despite growing turn outs at registration sites, only about half of registered voters actually exercise their right to vote.

Those eligible to vote have two more weeks to register. The deadline is October 8.
