Juvenile Charged in Drowning Death

The Bertie County Sheriff's Department has charged an unnamed juvenile in the drowning death of a three-year-old.

Malik McKinley Beverly was found dead inside a septic tank in Hexalena in Bertie County September 2. The juvenile is charged with involuntary manslaughter.
