Saving Money on Your Utility Bill

If you cringe at the cost of your utility bill, there are some simple things you can do to save money each month.

Leaky faucets, toilets, cracks in windows and doors and dirty air filters can all add to the cost of your utility bill. Andy Yakim with Greenville Utilities says a dripping faucet can add as much as $100 to your bill. Yakim says by making simple but conscious efforts you can lower your bill quite a bit. For example buying energy efficient appliances.

Other ways to save on your utility bill include changing air filters in your home once a month and repairing leaky toilets and seal cracks in windows and doors.
