2007 NC Seafood Festival Successful
It was another successful year for the North Carolina Seafood Festival.
The 3-day festival on the Morehead City waterfront wrapped up Sunday and organizers say it was an average year for attendance. Seafood Executive Director Stephanie McIntyre says based on sales, they estimate between 80,000 to 100,000 people turned out this year.
McIntyre says despite rain Saturday morning, the overcast skies that day were actually a blessing by keeping everyone cooler. She said Sunday was also a great day even though the temperatures were in the mid-80's.
The Seafood Festival says as in years past, they will take a look at this past weekend and see if anything needs tweaking to guarantee future festivals will be even better.
