Some business owners in Atlantic Beach say they are happy that Earl is gone and that people are heading back to the beaches this Labor Day weekend.

Many beachgoers returned to Atlantic Beach Saturday after evacuation orders were lifted Friday, bringing in some much needed business.

Owner of Davis Beachwear, Pat Davis, says, “We thought everybody was leaving and a lot of people did, the whole island evacuated, but they've come back and it's wonderful."

But there are some who say they’ve lost business. Darrel Lawrence of Caribbe Inn Motel says he’s had some cancellations because of Earl.

But despite some cancellations, some business owners say they are just happy that Earl didn’t do major damage to their buildings, or cash registers.
