Currituck County officials say they expect significant beach erosion in the wake of Hurricane Earl. The particular area of concern is the 4-wheel drive area of Carova Beach. Randall Edwards, the public information officer for Currituck County, says the water is up to the dune line.

Edwards says the 911 call center has not had any serious calls for help this morning, and no damage has been reported.

This picture is very misleading. There is no such damage at Carova Beach from hurricane Earl. Either this picture is of another place or was taken at another time.
