Monday was the opening day for the Pitt County Fair in Greenville.
Fair director Kenneth Ross says the Pitt County Fair is the "Disney World" of Greenville and expects large crowds all this week.
The fair runs until Saturday the sixth. On Wednesday the fair will hold a special seniors day for citizens over the age of 65 to enjoy the festivities without the crowds.
The fair takes place at the fairgrounds along Highway 264.
