Jury Does Not Reach Unanimous Decision - Will Reconvene Tuesday

The fate of Dock Watson is now in a jury's hands. He's the man accused of sexual assault against a woman in Chocowinity last summer.

Earlier Tuesday, both the prosecution and defense rested their case. The jury now has to decide whether or not Watson is guilty of first-degree rape or possibly attempted first-degree rape.

The jury must also decide if he is guilty of felony larceny for stealing the victim's vehicle. The judge, however, dropped the charge of first-degree kidnapping. Beaufort County District Attorney Seth Edwards says DNA evidence plays a key role in this case.

The jury is expected to reconvene Tuesday morning at 9:30.
