Some parents, teachers, and students in Beaufort County can breathe a little easier now that an architect has been chosen to begin on the schools newly aquired multi-million dollar bond referendum restructuring project.
Beaufort County school officials met Friday afternoon to announce the architect who will work on re-facing projects for two schools , P.S. Jones Middle School and Chocowinity Primary. Hite Associates out of Greenville were awarded the rights to the first project, worth almost half a million dollars. During the state election in July, voters approved nearly $33 million dollars for a school bond, to help refurbish and replace several schools in the county.
