Man Attacked with a Machete

Authorities in Wayne County had an odd but violent case on their hands Thursday. Wayne County Sheriff's deputies arrested 54 year old Anthony Herbin and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Deputies say Herbin assaulted his roommate by striking him in the head with a machete. The victim was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital.
