Just four years after its grand reopening, an historic landmark is about to turn out the lights, again.
The Turnage Theater in Washington's last show will be December 16. The Turnage Theaters Foundation Board of Trustees says it voted to close the theater when "it was determined that operations could not be sustained under the existing financial structure and with projected operating losses."
The foundation says it will be evaluating all alternatives for reopening the theater, but it appears banks will assume ownership of the building.
