Taylor Swift Wins Artist Of The Year

Taylor Swift won artist of the year at the American Music Awards, nabbing the top trophy for the second time in her young career.

The country superstar beat contenders including Adele, who had the year's best-selling album with "21" and led all nominees with four.

Swift told the audience "This is crazy!" as she picked up her award.

It was her third win of the night. She also won favorite country album and favorite country female artist.

She has to be the most ditzy blonde in country, pop, music there is! I will give it to her, she has a beautiful voice but her stage presence is a little out there! I wasn't shocked she won it, but come on Adele is very very talented and in my eyes Artist of the year!!

This is ridiculous!! How she keeps winning awards is beyond me. Then again when thinking about the music of Today and what is popular, I don't guess I should be surprised. She is terrible. Most of the top music today is garbage anyway. There are so many artist that are better than her and way more deserving. How can Taylor Swift been in the same competition with female artist like Carrie Underwood, Reba, Faith, Martina, Shania, and so on and on. There is no comparison period!!

She's classy, great voice, pretty, great personality, etc. She deserves every award that she gets, don't be jealous.

GREAT VOICE?? are you serious? She is flat 9 outta 10 times that I hear her sing!! She writes her songs but they have this little thing called the "magic button" it makes everyone sound better. AND she still sounds flat so how good can she be???

Talent and success breeds hate and jealousy! I have heard her perform live, and she sounded just fine. Oh, and I am a classically trained musician, so I do have the ear for it :)

The magic button works at live shows too. I have a friend who is a producer in Nashville. He has told me that they have the equiptment that can "magically" make her sound fine as soon as she sings. He even said that everyone in Nashville knows she can't sing, but she is a package deal. They wanted her songs, so her parents made them take her too.

I can believe that, if she really does write her own songs, I fully believe she'd be able to get those sold to an artist. It wouldn't surprise me if she's lip-syncing or using auto-tune in her concerts though.

She can't be the worst country singer, since she's yet to release a real country song. She's mainstream pop through and through. But good for her I suppose, even if there are thousands of better artist out there more deserving. But it shouldn't be surprising, ever major 'entertainment' award these days is pretty much a joke.

I'm surprised Kanye West didn't run up on stage (drunk) and claim that Beyonce deserved the awards.
