Greenville Native To Compete In Top 5 On The Sing-Off

Greenville native Christie Dashiell and her a capella group from Howard University will compete Monday night on NBC's The Sing-Off.

The group called "Afro Blue" should have an edge as Monday's theme for songs is rhythm and blues. If the team advances tonight, they will be one step closer to a $200,000 cash prize and a recording contract.

Christie graduated from J.H. Rose High School and sang with the Greenville Chorale Arts before attending Howard University. Christie's father is jazz living legend and ECU professor Carroll Dashiell.

Monday night's episode will air on WITN beginning at 8 p.m.
