The Carolina Chocolate Festival is underway this weekend on the Crystal Coast.

It's being held at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City.

The event features multiple vendors from near and far, and you can find everything from chocolate cakes to chocolate bars to chocolate ice cream.

Organizers say all the proceeds from the 2012 Carolina Chocolate Festival will be donated to the Carteret County Domestic Violence, Broad Street Clinic, Second Blessings Outreach, Carteret General Hospital Volunteers, Carteret County 4-H, White Oak Youth, Potters for Parkinson, Beaufort Womens Club and Carteret Community College Basic Law Enforcement Training.

On Sunday, all military personnel with a military I.D. get free admission.

In nine years, this annual event has raised over $300,000 to assist 30 deserving charities in Carteret County.

The festival goes from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $2 for children ages 5-12.
