American Idol's Pia Sent Packing

Pia Toscano was lavished with "American Idol" judge love but lost the audience's affection.

The dark-haired 22-year-old from the Queens borough of New York City was eliminated from the singing contest Thursday, drawing disbelief from the show's panel.

Judge Jennifer Lopez said she shocked and angry that viewers failed to keep Toscano in the competition after a powerful performance Wednesday of "River Deep -- Mountain High."

Randy Jackson said the results made him mad.

Toscano's elimination leaves eight finalists.

Chris, dude, I love Scott MCcreary, not MCcreedy! He may be a "hillbilly" but at least he has talent! FYI, can you sing country, I doubt it! I like Paul and James also! Pia was a good singer, too boring for me!!

OK, WITN...the show has had other people kicked off this season. Why start doing a puff piece about it now? Now to bring equilibrium to universe they need to kick off the "one trick hillbilly" Scott McCreedy, he's a no- talent hack that can ONLY sing deep bass country.

Blatant Discrimination: The people voted...50 some million. Where's the discrimination? Go complain to Al Sharpton.

I'll be glad when this is over. I agree with Cliff. What a waste of space. How about a baseball game instead. My wife likes to talk about all that stuffon that show which I have no interest in. I just try to go along with it.

There are so many good ones this year. Pia was just boring. And in my opinion the judges are better than ever.

I think people vote on personality also. We know ALL of them can sing better than any year before...but I like a little fun in my entertainment. Phi wasn't much fun. I hate to say that because I do like her and she has a wonderful voice. She go places anyway.

she was the best. this week is the 1st time i watched it. there r some good ones. but it was so disappointing. but there were times that i watched the whole thing. there were other times like when clay was on there he should have won. carrier underwood and chris look at chris he just as big as she is. that would be a hard one to judge with them. but if you can see who is actually doing something from this show. it really hasn't been the winners. the guy last night that sang he totally sucked and he has a singing contract give me a brake
