The Union Alley Coffeehouse, located in the Inner Banks Artisans' Center at 158 W. Main Street in Washington, presents "An Evening with Michael Pilgrim" on Saturday, May 22nd, beginning at 8pm. General admission is $6.00 and $5.00 for BCTMA Members.
Michael Pilgrim has played music since 1957. He played his first professional engagement in 1969 and has been a teacher since 1975. He plays a variety of styles including classical, old-time, standards, blues and gospel. In addition to concert performances, he plays for parties, weddings, civic clubs, churches and schools. He is moving to the mountains soon, so this will be one of his last performances in this area. The combination of virtuoso fiddle playing and his quirky sense of humor guarantee an outstanding program.
Performances at the Union Alley Coffeehouse are presented as a fund-raising activity by the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association. It offers an alcohol free and smoke free venue featuring live music performances in an intimate setting.
