The marquee at the Carmike Cinemas in Greenville was lit up as stars from the movie jumped out of the stretch limousine for the red carpet event.
Greenville native, Nicky "Monday" Hunter made his silver screen debut Thursday night in a movie about a group of star college athletes who find themselves in difficult financial situations, forcing them to become crooks of sorts.
They rob drug dealers, gangsters and pimps. The director of the film, Troy McNish primarily used local actors and a local production crew to shoot the film. Hunter spoke with reporters on the red carpet about his long awaited movie.
Another Greenville native, B-M-X athlete Dave Mirra made an cameo in the film. Hunter says he and director expect a sequel to be begin production soon.
