Woman Pays Big Bucks To Be First To Ride Led Zeppelin Coaster In Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- A woman is paying $1,829 to make sure her family gets the first ride on the Led Zeppelin theme roller coaster at the new Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach.

Cindy Ennis told The (Myrtle Beach) Sun News she was the top bidder on the eBay charity auction for four seats on the first two rows for the coaster's first run Tuesday.

Ennis says she will take one seat and will give the rest to her two children and son-in-law.

Hard Rock park officials say the auction for 15 seats on the first ride raised more than $5,000 for the Sara Goodwin Memorial Foundation for underprivileged children.

The 140-acre Hard Rock Park will open later this month.
