Duplin County Bus Drivers Train For Bullying

A new study suggests bullying takes an academic toll on teens. GPA's dropped among high school students who say they were bullied in a survey of nearly 10,000 students in 580 schools.

Duplin County school officials attempted to combat this problem, at least on the school bus. Bullying on buses was one focus of school bus driver training in the county.

Bus drivers say bullying is different on a bus than in a classroom because drivers have their eyes on the road, and the bus is a pretty tight space.

Discipline had to go out of the school system when you tell children there are no moral absolutes. No God, so no one determination of right an wrong. So, you wrong could be okay with me. Everyone can get lost in the arguement of what is and is not wrong, and if there is or is not a God, and while we do...the kids are left with no real understanding of personal accountability. This is a problem that has developed gradually over 40 years and isn't going to be fixed by a meeting of school bus drivers.

If they would allow dicipline in school or put dicipline back into school, we wouln't have a problem. We lowered the academic GPA in schools by rmeoving dicipline and not allowing teachers to teach..... but spend the year helping students to MEMORIZE the answers on the EOG test. No fault to the teachers, my wife is one, it is IDIOTIC goverment, along with the right of dicipline being removed from the bus and the school system.
