Goodbye, pyramid, hello "My Plate." The U.S. Agriculture Department has unveiled its new symbol for healthful eating.
The new guide is a plate divided into four slightly different-sized divisions. Fruits and veggies take up half the space, with grains and protein making up the other half. Next to the plate is a blue circle for dairy -- which could represent a glass of milk or a food like cheese or yogurt.
