A principal who has been on the job for less than a month is on paid suspension, pending an investigation.
Carson Watford, principal at Bertie High School, was suspended last Wednesday, according to Ella Fields-Bunch who is the human resource officer for the school system.
Watford became principal at the high school in September 28th, and before that was principal at Hertford County Middle School. The school system will not say why the principal has been suspended from his job.
