School Board To Address Overcrowding Concerns

The Onslow County School Board is scheduled to look at overcrowding issues in their schools at Tuesday's board meeting.

The agenda for the meeting lists a presentation by Assistant Superintendent Steve Myers about student capacity and redistricting. The meeting is open to the public and will take place at Blue Creek Elementary at 7 p.m.

    @Try this: now that I think about it though....sports, the arts, and extra curriculars would really be hurt. While those things are secondary, they are still vital parts of a public education. Still think it's an intriguing idea though

    @Try this: sounds like a good plan. Id I were a student or teacher I'd love it...but has it worked before somewhere else? No doubting, just curious.

    Year round school. 1/2 staff/students for three weeks followed by break, other 1/2 students/staff use this three weeks for class and then 3 week break. Same buses, same school space, year round staff schedule vacation to meet needs of school system.
