Onslow Co. School Board To Consider Ban Of School Paddling

Spanking of students in Onslow County schools may be eliminated.

The school board will consider a ban on corporal punishment at Tuesday's meeting.

According to a report, there was one reported instance of school paddling during the 2012-2013 school year.

Morton Elementary School's refurbishment, a presentation on optimizing bus transportation routes and policy revision considerations, as well as the School Plan for Management of Behavior will also be discussed.

The meeting is Tuesday, August 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Blue Creek Elementary School.
