OFFICIALS: High School Lock Down, No Active Threat

West Carteret High School in Carteret County was in lock down mode as of 1:30PM on Wednesday.

School system spokeswoman Tabbie Nance tells WITN one student threatened another on campus, prompting the lock down. No weapons were found on campus, and no word on any physical altercations.

Nance noted in this precautionary situation, class changes are done internally. Nance added there is no perceived threat to any students at this time.
