We now know who will replace the longtime superintendent of Craven County Schools who is retiring in at the end of January.
According to The New Bern Sun Journal, Lane Mills, who is currently an associate professor of educational leadership at East Carolina University, has been approved by the Board of Education to become the new superintendent of the Craven County School System.
He will be replacing Larry Moser, who is retiring Feb. 1 after three and half years as superintendent and 34 years in the school system. His last day is Jan. 31.
