Local Student Receives Bojangles’ Jack Fulk Scholarship

Bojangles’ has announced this years' Jack Fulk Scholarship recipients, and one student from the east is on the list.

Syed Ahmed of Kinston is one of the ten recipients of the $1,000 academic scholarships, which are awarded in memory of Bojangles’ co-founder Jack Fulk who passed away in 2011.

The scholarships are available to all Bojangles’ team members and their immediate family members. Bojangles’ selected 36 qualified finalists from the applications submitted, and the top 10 were chosen at random from the pool of finalists at the Bojangles’ Support Center in Charlotte.

This year, six Bojangles’ team members and four immediate family members were named recipients of the Bojangles’ Scholarship Award. Other recipients include Elise Volger of Apex; Brianna McLean of Dunn; Michael Furr of Kannapolis; Katherine Jessup of Thomasville; Leslie Morales of Siler City; Austin Kyle of Athens, Tennessee; Steven McDuffie of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Nicholas Timbers of Greer, South Carolina; and Elizabeth Spear of Suffolk, Virginia.

Each of the $1,000 scholarships awarded this month will be used toward tuition for the academic semester that begins in August.
