Future journalists in the east will be getting some new tools thanks to CenturyLink.
A very surprised Joy McCracken, Media Coordinator for S.W. Snowden Elementary School in Aurora, was thrilled to learn she was awarded one of the North Carolina grants from CenturyLink. The nearly $5,000 grant will allow McCracken to update the school's mini-television station and help students bring their technology skills up to date.
Several CenturyLink officials were on hand to present the check to McCracken, Beaufort County Schools Superintendent Dr. Don Phipps and Snowden Principal Debra Kinsey.
