Middle school students will start classes at 7:30 a.m. and be dismissed at 12:10. The school day for high school students begins at 12:15 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.

I can tell you first hand of how hard the school staff, youth and the admin staff have worked to ensure a smooth tranistion. We need to be sure we give credit to the staff who have worked endless hours to prepare for this transition and sure everthing is not worked out or perfect yet but what a remarkable community! Greene County has a lot to be pround of! Great job to ALL the school staff in Greene County and it is clear your students are the number one priority!

People are so quick to judge and give their opinion when this is a transition that has affected thousands in Greene County. No matter what plan you have in place, implementing it will be the factor in how well things go. I think the board has done an amazing job!!!

As for the first person that posted, that wud seem that that schedule wud b accurate, however, Middle & HS shared buses, so now that they just pick up MS students the routes are shorter so cant judge time, I just had my kid ready way early today to see what time bus wud arrive, it use to be here 1 hr b4 school started and today they got here 30 mins b4 school wd start

Simple math people. I would say that if your middle schooler used to start school at 8, be ready for the bus a half an hour earlier. Your high schooler? If they used to start at 8, and now 12:30, have them ready 4.5 hours later. Well, maybe for the first few days be ready a half an hour earlier just for good measure.

that is really going to be confusing because if people dont know when to get on the bus how are they going to be ready for the bus to come we could be doing something and then the bus is blowing and leaves then we get tardys and absents and get in trouble when its not our fault because they should tell us when the bus is coming or an estimated time for each route

Unfortunately, there is no information as to when the buses will run and how they are going to handle the changed schedule along with the regular bus schedule of the other schools. I have 2 children affected by this and the school board has not addressed this along with other concerns that I and other parents have.
