Some students at one school in the east will soon be able to study history and other subjects in style, thanks to more than $39,000 in grant money.
Bethel Elementary School in Pitt County can now fund the makeover of its media center.
The school desperately needed new furniture and will soon have brand new desks, shelves and also get a special leisure reading area.
The school credits the hard work of its media coordinator, Charles Millard, for applying for the grant.
The grant is part of the Mildred Sheffield Wells Charitable Trust.
