The states second highest ranking official made a pitt stop in the east to check out a community college.

Lt. Governor Walter Dalton toured Martin Community College in Williamston earlier Thursday.

Dalton says he understands how hard it is for schools, universities and community colleges to operate in light of state budget cuts.

He says despite the cuts, the Community College System in North Carolina is still among the best in the nation.

Dalton believes the jobs in the near future will be health care, bio technology and military contract jobs.

Did he say anything about illegals (crimminals)attending tax funded state schools. The state aiding abeting an illegal to go to school is no different than you and I doing the same thing for a criminal.
