Good News For Schools In East

Schools districts in the east are getting some promising news when it comes to end of grade testing. The Adequate Yearly Progress or A.Y.P preliminary results are in.

Beaufort County Schools are especially pleased by the test.

They say last year 4 out of 13 schools meet the A.Y.P requirements.

This year seven schools made the grade.

Although this is the first year students in third and eighth grades could re-take the test if they did not pass it the first time.

Which is a reason why the state says it will not compare last year's score to this year's.

The final numbers will be released on August 6th.
