NEW INFO: The Future Of Bear Grass High School

Supporters who want to turn Bear Grass High School into a charter school will have to wait another month to find out if it's going to happen.

The State Board of Education Thursday said the decision to add more charter schools should be discussed further and it was pulled from the agenda.

Last year, Martin County school board members voted to close the high school and merge it with another high school in the county.

The Bear Grass educational foundation is one of six finalists vying for three charter school positions in the state. The group now hopes the state will make a decision at its August 6th meeting.

Lots of talk about 3 "business men". But why doesn't anyone talk about the famous barber? How does he get a free pass?

Since I don't work, you must live down the hall in my bathroom...and did I say anything ugly to you? No, I did not. However it did sound as if you knew something most others did not. So I was just curious....

This is probably the 2nd time I have wasted my time reading this. And as I read the information from Tad I realized a couple of things: 1.someone at WITN enjoys reading Tad's stuff, 2.Tad maybe an educated (still not sure about that)person but he does not understand about the "Holy City" but I do know for a fact that Williamston is not mentioned in the Bible AT ALL!!My question to Tad how do you know so much about our town? You have been in Williamston, WHY?Also I would like to know where do you eat and shop? I would guess without a shadow of a doubt it would be Williamston.I am sure you will come back with you don't eat or shop in Williamston but then again you also don't know where the "Holy City" really is, so I'm sure the truth will be far from your lips.I am VERY lucky to have 4 GREAT kids. They are all athletic, SMART and kind kids&they don't care about this CRAP!! Tad,are you getting paid to type this. The thing is you have no idea what you are talking about & thats what is SAD!!!

I like the new name "Top Dogs" since they walk around with their nose in the air smelling for something to stir up, oblivious to what someone else cares about and a lot of "crap" for others to clean up!!

Tad, bad things happen, right? It's only fair that they redistrict. I've never had a problem with them doing that. But, you know, if they build a new middle school for Williamston and leave your building as a middle school for the Jamesville crowd, what's the harm? By the way, how do you get your number of 150? Do 150 of Williamston's students live on the west side of the district? Or, is that 150 more monsters that might eat the innocent young of Jamesville? I mean, come on, you said yourself that WHS is full of "thugs" and the "dregs of society". Should they pick and choose and only send the problem children to RHS? Another thing: the holy city comment is starting to make me yawn. Could you please come up with a new catchphrase? How about the kingly ones? The aristocracy? How about "do-gooders"? Maybe you could call them the "top dogs"?
