ECU Is Storm Ready

ECU is officially storm ready, according to the National Weather Service.

ECU was honored as one of only 29 schools in the country that has earned the storm ready designation. ECU is the second university in the North Carolina to complete this program.

The program is designed to better help communities and universities deal with severe weather situations. The school also has color codes in certain parking lots which tell them how high, for example, the Tar River is and when parking lots might flood. They also have communication systems on top of buildings to alert students.

The announcement happened at Todd Dining hall which was a central place for many people during Hurricane Floyd which happened 10 years ago this September.

That's good to know. I bet Hurricane Floyd had a whole lot to do with that. I wonder what other school in this state has this honor.

Oh, I wouldn't know how to react if that precious ECU, which is the only thing keeping Gang Vegas going, wouldn't be prepared to tackle any thing that the so-called "Lord" throws at it.
