Teens Learn What It's Like To Drive Drunk

Students at one school in the east got a lesson on what not to do Wednesday.

About 30 Northside High School seniors got the opportunity to participate in a simulated impaired driving exhibition.

They learned about how their reactions are delayed with their steering, their braking, and with their accelerating.

Northside High School's prom is this weekend, but police say the lessons many of them learned Wednesday will be used throughout their lives.

Police say that the number of teens driving drunk in the Jacksonville area has come down and credit awareness education with that decrease.

How about all schools should do this. This is a great thing to teach these kids.
