The folks at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores in Carteret County invite you to spend part of your holiday with them.
The aquarium is open regular hours Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, a "spring celebration of aquatic eggs features activities throughout the day."
According to a release, family members can challenge each other in a scavenger hunt to find and identify animal eggs among the exhibits. Kids can get a realistic birds-eye view by climbing into larger-than-life models of nests and eggs.
The release also says visitors also can meet Aquarium youngsters, including Eno, the one-year-old river otter, as well as sea turtle hatchlings, baby alligators and others from the world of water.
