Teacher Accused Of Making Boy Eat Food From Garbage Can

A kindergarten teacher in Connecticut has been arrested for allegedly forcing a 5-year-old boy to eat food the child had thrown in a garbage can.

Sixty-seven-year-old Anne O'Donnell, a teacher at Park City Magnet School in Bridgeport, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of risk of injury to a minor.

School officials say the charge stems from an incident last week when the boy apparently tossed out his lunch of chicken nuggets and a banana from the school cafeteria.

The teacher is accused of retrieving the items from the garbage can and forcing the boy to eat them in front of her.

O'Donnell has been released on a promise to appear in court.

I think she probably went to the same outstanding school young teacher attended. They are not notable for teaching anything anyway. How it got to be part of the university system is a real mystery.

It looks like it didn't matter how old the teacher was when Ashleigh was in school; she wasn't learning anything either way.

I think Ashleigh just made the case for the idiots.

I cannot understand teachers today. I am in the process of getting my schooling to become a teacher and it is not easy and every time we turn around a teacher is having an affair with a student to making a child eat from a trash can. What is wrong with these people. How can she think what she was doing was right? So the child didn't want his lunch. If he would of offered it to another student she would of probably found fault with that also. Going to school to become a teacher has been a long hard process. I don't know where these teachers that are choosing the wrong track went to school because it must of been a given but I find myself up late at nights and every weekend busting my butt to get all the work to become a teacher done on time. I am 42 years old raised my three children and decided I was going to pursue my childhood dream and become a teacher. I will say this I will never take for granted all the work I am putting into becoming a great teacher for no one.

You are not effective now young teacher. What do you plan to do after 35 for income? All I can say is thank God you do not teach my kids! I'll take a 67 y/o over your lack of touch with reality any day. I bet I can guess where you went to college.

People over 40 are all washed up. Time to go to WalMart and be a greeter. It sure isn't time to be training young lives. I plan to bow out in my thirties. I know I can't be effective past thirty-five, and I'm big enough to admit it. Why aren't you?

To "Young Teacher". Haven't you ever heard of older and wiser? She was completely wrong, but it didn't have anything to do with being OVER 40. I'm 44, a great teacher, teaching elementary school and going strong!
