Princeville is the oldest African American incorporated town in the United States. The town has been through many ups and downs. One of the most recent disasters was the flood of 1999 in the aftermath of Hurricane Floyd.

Now people in the community say they are continuing to rebuild and create a new place where they can live and thrive as a community. There's a new town hall, homes, and streets. One of the latest projects in the works is a museum of history. The building was renovated and now the next step is choosing the artifacts and pictures that will go in there. The mayor of the town says the goal of the museum is to remember and celebrate the towns history.

The mayor says the next step for the town is trying to bring back more businesses and stores to the area.
