Woman Shot In Leg During Home Invasion

A woman was shot after a home invasion this weekend in Williamston.

Police say they got the call around 8:15 p.m. Saturday for the home invasion and armed robbery at 925 West Main Street. There they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg and cuts on her face.

The victim said two armed people came into her home, assaulted her and took an undisclosed amount of money and a firearm.
