A woman has been charged in a stabbing that happened Tuesday night.
New Bern police say William Swayne was visiting a friend at Craven Terrace when he got into an argument with a woman. The 56-year-old was stabbed multiple times.
Ryesha Lovick of Vanceboro has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
The 23-year-old has her first appearance today in Craven County District Court.
Swayne was first sent to CarolinaEast Medical Center and then to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
