Woman Accused Of Embezzling From Craven County Church

A local woman is facing charges that she embezzled money from her church.

Samantha Hines, 29, is charged in Craven County with multiple charges of embezzlement. Hines stole money over three months in the spring of 2012, from Queen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Vanceboro, where she served as financial secretary.

Hines has posted bond ahead of her next court date on February 14th.
