A Wilson police officer was involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver Tuesday night.
Police say Kenneth Boykin was charged with driving while impaired, driving left of center and driving without insurance.
The crash happened on Ward Blvd. near Tilghman Rd. Both drivers were taken to Wilson Medical Center.
The officer involved is Kolly Burritt. Police say neither driver was seriously injured.
